Each (like Every) refers to all members of a group. It makes us think of the members of a group one by one.

1. Each as determiner

Each is followed by a singular countable noun, or by one. Let's see exmamples below:
each book
each boy
each car
each new performance
each country in the world
each one
each one of us

Each boy in the class has his own desk.
